Virtual Library
A digital space for learning and character formation
During the COVID-19 pandemic, one question stayed with us: how can a child receive a good book when shipping it across borders is difficult? Shipping costs were high, and for many children, getting a printed book was not simple.
That question led us to prepare a Virtual Library - an online space that could connect children with books and learning resources beyond distance and shipping barriers. We explored this work in collaboration with Hope Library and developed an early app as part of that effort.
The most important question was not simply how to send more books. It was how to choose the right books. Used books and donated paper books are not automatically suitable for every child. Age, context, language, and content all matter when selecting materials for children.
This project reminded us that digital ministry requires more than technology. It requires careful curation, trusted relationships, and resources chosen with children in mind. The app still needs further development, but the need remains real: to help children encounter books that can strengthen learning, imagination, and character.
